Shin Nishimura – FukafunkAcid (inc. SEGO ‘Miyabimania’ Remix)

Ketika SEGO diminta untuk membuat versi remix dari single Shin Nishimura, FukafunkAcid, saat itu gue sedang berada di Kuala Lumpur untuk sebuah konferensi keamanan informasi dan hacking. Karena kebetulan waktu luang cukup banyak, dihari yang sama gue membuat 2 versi remix (Jakarta & Kuala Lumpur remix), lalu dua tracks tersebut gue upload dan minta Andre untuk direview. Akhirnya 2 remix tracks tersebut dikirimkan ke Shin dan dia memilih versi Jakarta remix. Namun, tidak lama kemudian dia berubah pikiran dan menyarankan versi remix tersebut untuk dirilis menjadi single SEGO berikutnya (tentunya dengan menghilangkan sample yang menjadi bagian dari lagu FukafunkAcid). Sehingga akhirnya versi remix Kuala Lumpur yang dipilih untuk disertakan dalam rilis single FukafunkAcid ini.

Setelah kembali ke Jakarta, gue memutuskan untuk merapikan lagu versi yang dipilih dan melakukan cukup banyak perubahan, termasuk dengan menambahkan suara Miyabi. Sejujurnya gue bukanlah penggemar Miyabi, cuma kebetulan sample suara yang gue ambil terdengar agak seksi. Hehehe…

Selain mengerjakan lagu remix ini, gue dan Andre juga sedang mempersiapkan cukup banyak materi baru. Mudah-mudahan tidak butuh waktu lama untuk bisa dirilis.

GOSIP remix competition result

“GOSIP” remix competition has come to an end.

The winner is DJ Jerome (Javabass). His solid drum ‘n’ bass remix won the votes, Hengky Strawberry and DJ Echa congrats for getting into the Finals.

The winner will receive the prizes at Agrikulture’s new single launch “New Day” and “Kompor Meledug” on 22 December 2007.

Electrojunkies to enter semi-final in Agrikulture Gosip Remix Contest

AGRIKULTURE & JUICE has teamed up with EMAX, M-AUDIO, EDIROL, MILA MUSIC, RAVELEX.NET, OZ RADIO (JAKARTA, BANDUNG, BANDAR LAMPUNG, PALEMBANG, BALI) – DISCOLAND to find talented producers to remix AGRIKULTURE’s first single “Gosip”. The winning remixes will be featured on a forthcoming AGRIKULTURE release, which means the remixes could soon be for sale on Beatport, Juno Download, Track It Down, iTunes also gaining media exposure and radio airplay plus prizes from the competition partners. Only 3 remixes will be chosen by polling via RAVELEX, FUTURE10, and via SMS to OZ RADIO.

The remix of AGRIKULTURE’s single submitted to this contest and finally enter the semi-final is done by Jim Geovedi (GVD), a fresh-from-the-oven and talented DJ/Producer also known in Information Technology security world as one of the world-famous hacker. The submitted GVD Deep Down Jazzy Mix is straight up deep house with jazzy touch brings to mind the tracks of Master At Works and Joey Negro.

Let’s hope the submitted remix can enter the final stage of the contest.
