Jim Geovedi was born somewhere in the southern tip of the island of Sumatra, where the original inhabitant speak a distinct language from other people in Sumatra and have their own alphabet. Where he used to grow up and live is known to have the first, and probably the only one, elephant school in Indonesia and also producing coffee beans, cocoa beans, coconuts and cloves.

His only formal education was ended in state high school when he was graduated with average mark. Thus, although he never goes to university, by one means or another his adventures in self-directed learning continue. He taught himself the computer science, information security, programming and recently composing digital music.
